چکیده
We investigated the effect of opioid analgesic tramadol on development epileptic seizures and neuronal injury possible modulatory vitamin E (Vit E) in rats with pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-induced status epilepticus. Rats received repeated intraperitoneal (i.p.) injections PTZ till epilepticus were pretreated once (30, 60 or 90 mg/kg), E, 70 mg/kg) both (90 Vit (70 prior to starting injections. Seizure scores, latency time dose for each group required reach determined histopathological examination brain tissue was done. Results indicated that produced anticonvulsant proconvulsant effects. The effects observed facial twitching (stage 1), convulsive body waves 2), myoclonic jerks rearing 3) turn over onto one side position 4) significantly inhibited by tramadol. In contrast, tonic-clonic convulsions 5) increased mg/kg as compared control group. mean threshold markedly decreased after administration exerted beneficial decreasing epilepsy scores increasing reaching Meanwhile, treated exhibited significant increase shortened those only E. cerebral cortex hippocampus, resulted apoptotic cells, darkly stained degenerated vacuolated neurons gliosis. These pathological changes but reduced treatment. Collectively, these results suggest that: (i) exerts effects; (ii) evoking epilepticus; (iii) PTZ-induced damage can be E; (iv) at high doses interferes inhibiting reducing damage.

Vitamin E protection against gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats: a biochemical and histopathologic study
The specificity of gentamicin for vitamin E deficiency-associated oxidative stresses in the renal proximal convoluted tubules is apparently related to its ability to increasingly facilitate generation of radical species in mitochondria. To determine the ways in which vitamin E manage the currently processes, we conducted a prospective study aimed to investigate the tubular preserving effect of ...

Objective: In the present work, the effects of different fractions of Coriandrum sativum (C. sativum), on pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-induced seizures and brain tissues oxidative damage were investigated in rats. Materials and Methods: The rats were divided into the following groups: (1) vehicle, (2) PTZ (90 mg/kg), (3) water fraction (WF) of C. sativum (25 and 100 mg/kg), (4) n-butanol fraction (...

15 صفحه اولProtective effects of omega-3, atorvastatin, vitamin E and vitamin C against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in rats: a comparison study
Introduction: The stress-oxidative is involved in doxorubicin (DOX)-induced cardiotoxicity. Due to the potential and previous reported for antioxidant properties of atorvastatin, omega-3, vitamin E and vitamin C, their efficacy to prevention of DOX-induced cardiotoxicity was investigated in this study. Methods: Fifty-six male rats were divided into 8 groups which received omega-3, atorvastati...
متن کاملInteraction between Cannabinoid Compounds and Capsazepine in Protection against Acute Pentylenetetrazole-induced Seizure in Mice
The pharmacological interaction between cannabinoidergic system and vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) channels has been investigated in various conditions such as pain and anxiety. In some brain structure including hippocampus, CB1 and TRPV1 receptors coexist and their activation produces opposite effect on excitability of neurons. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that TRPV1 channel is involved i...
